Kyle “Rusty” Nicholson has been a part of our crew for ten years. He is also one of the Captains for the Sea Gypsy VI. If you have been on a trip with Rusty, you remember it! Rusty is an incredible personality and he gets everybody he sees (on or off the boat) into the act. With an enthusiastic love for kids Rusty has found the ideal job and we are lucky to have found him!

Leslie “Polly” Zuknick has been a part of our crew for eleven years. Polly shows up for work every day in a good mood! Polly brings her light and positive attitude to all of her trips and does a wonderful job at keeping her trips new and fun for the kids. Polly graduated from Towson University and teaches 5th grade.

Layne “Skully” Nicholson returns for her seventh season at Pirate Adventures. Skully has a gift with children of all ages. You will see her carrying the littlest ones through the parking lot as they sneak down to the pirate ship. Skully is full of pirate attitude and keeps everyone laughing on all of her trips. Don’t miss her pirate dance parties on the way to the treasure! Skully attends the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she is studying sign language interpreter preparation.

Moira “Plank” Smith has been a part of our crew for six years. Plank keeps all the crew members here smiling, and her trips are full of energy and excitement, where you just might catch her speaking in her native language of “mermish”. Plank will be a junior at Carlton College in Minnesota this fall.

Daniel “Boots” Fitzgerald joins our crew for his fourth year. Boots has a unique sense of humor and wit that he includes in his trips. Everyday brings a new set of surprises and stories from this witty pirate. Boots graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in business and has decided that the corporate world is not for him. He is currently training to become a teacher.

Bear “Dagger” Hutchinson is back for his fourth season at Pirate Adventures. Dagger brings creativity to each trip he runs and is always coming up with something new for his role as an enemy pirate. Few people know that Dagger is an accomplished piano and melodica player. He is also training to become a captain of the Sea Gypsy VI. Dagger will be a freshman at Tulane University in New Orleans this fall.

A.J. “Cuda” Crossen joins our crew for his third year. Cuda is quick witted and is often seen stuck at the top of the mast. Cuda is one of the more artistic pirate crew members. Get in Cuda’s line for a tattoo and you won’t be disappointed. Cuda will be a sophomore at the University of Maryland this fall.

Sam “Scar” Selick joins our crew for his third year. Scar is quick with a joke and keeps everyone laughing- pay attention grown ups! Scar is always entertaining and is able to bring out the fun in any young pirate. Few people may know that Scar is the reigning arm wrestling champion at Pirate Adventures. Scar will be attending Penn State as a freshman this fall.

Robert “Flint” Smith joins our crew for his fourth year and his first year as a captain on the Sea Gypsy VI. Flint brings his wide smiles and easy laughter every day here at Pirate Adventures, as well as his wonderful sense of humor. He is often seen coaxing a shy young pirate out of his shell and into the action. Watch out for his diving acrobatics on the ship!Flint will be a sophomore at Davidson College this fall

Natalie “Sunny” Modly joins the crew for her second season. Sunny lives up to her pirate name with her bright smile. The crew is happy to find someone who will keep things somewhat neat and organized,which is hard to do with a crew of pirates around! Sunny will attend the University of Oregon this fall for her freshman year where she will be playing lacrosse. GO DUCKS!
