Rent a pavilion

Indoor Pool Party

Does your child have a winter birthday?  Throw them a summer pool party at one of these indoor birthday party places for kids.  The Prince Georges Sports and Learning Complex, North Arundel Aquatic Center, and the Deanwood Aquatic Center all offer birthday party rooms that you can reserve for your winter pool party.

Ice Cream Party

Let the kids get creative and make their own sundaes.  Many ice cream shops like Menchies, Kilwins, Kilby Cream, and The Double Dipper offer sundae parties with private party rooms.

Take the kids for an adventure on the farm!  There are many petting zoos in our area that offer party packages and a private space for cake and presents.  Leesburg Animal Park, Milburn Orchards in Elkton, and Southern Comfort Berry Farm in St. Mary’s County all offer party packages.

Get the girls all dolled up.  Many local salons offer party packages that include an updo and manicure for little girls.  Pigtails and Crewcuts specialize in kids haircuts and offers multiple party options.

Let the kids loose in the kitchen.  Whole Foods offers cooking parties with different themes like a pizza party or breakfast in your pjs.  Cookology in Sterling, VA offers kid’s cooking classes and birthday parties.

Climbing Wall or Gym

Let the kids use all that energy before serving cake.  A lot of gyms offer climbing walls and reserved time on the basketball court along with a private party room.  Earth Treks in Columbia and Rockville MD offers party packages.  Your local YMCA has multiple party options to entertain the kids.

Go beyond the moonbounce and take the kids to a Trampoline Park.  Options in our area include Skyzone, Flight Trampoline Park, and Rebounderz.  Take it one step further and try New York Trapeze School in DC.

Children’s Theatre

We are lucky to live in an area that offers lots of options for children’s theatre.  Many of them offer group discounts and party rooms.  Some of the venues even offer theatre workshops for kids. Check out Imagination Stage, The Puppet Company, and Adventure Theatre.
