Spring Activities for Kids and Family Fun
See the Cherry Blossoms
Plan a family trip to Washington DC this spring and take in the wonder of the cherry blossoms. The National Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 20th to April 13th, 2025 with peak blooms predicted for March 28th – March 31st.. Family favorites include the kite festival on March 29th and the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade on April 12th. Walk the loop around the tidal pool and visit the Jefferson Monument and then head to the National Zoo for a perfect spring day with the kids in Washington DC.

Pirate Adventures – Official opening day is Saturday, 4/19. Check facebook or join our mailing list to be notified if we the weather is right for us to be open during spring break week.
Watkins Regional Park – The antique carousel, miniature train, and mini-golf open for the season on April 26th.
Kings Dominion – Kings Dominion opens for the 2019 season on Friday, March 30th
Six Flags America – Six Flags also opens on Saturday, Martch 29th, 2025
Butterfly’s at Brookside Gardens – The Wings of Fancy Exhibit at Brookside Gardens returns Thursday, April 10th.
Catoctin Wildlife Preserve – Take a safari ride and visit the zoo at Catoctin Wildlife preserve. They will open for the season on Saturday, March 31st weather permitting.
