New Kids Activity Family Fishing Adventures Arrives Annapolis this Spring!

At Pirate Adventures we offer the most fun for families in the Annapolis area and we are excited to announce the newest kids activity in Annapolis – Family Fishing Adventures.   If you end up at Carrol’s Creek for Easter Brunch this weekend check out the bright green Sea Dragon docked nearby.  Family Fishing Adventures comes to Annapolis thanks to Christopher Hendershot, known to little pirates on the Sea Gypsy as Captain Smee.  If you have experienced Captain Smee as your captain at Pirate Adventures you’ll want to try out this new venture with him.  Chris has been around the water his entire life – full disclosure he is our nephew and started working on the pirate ship at the age of 12.   Christopher has a natural talent when it comes to working with kids and he is excited to share his love of crabbing and fishing with kids and families who live or visit Annapolis this spring, summer, and fall.

The Family Fishing Adventure

Family Fishing Adventures will begin sailing on April 16th, 2016 and you’ll want to make reservations for this kids activity as the boat is limited by capacity.  Christopher has some choice fishing holes picked out for his young fisherman and women around the Naval Academy and the Severn River.  Kids will get the chance to bait a hook and attach a lure and operate light tackle fishing equipment.  Fishing will be catch and release and kids will also get the chance to discover crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay by hauling up and baiting crab traps.  If you are ready to introduce your kids to fishing but don’t want to invest in a boat or equipment this is a great way to start.  Typical fishing charters are prohibitively expensive for families and are not always geared for young attention spans.  Family Fishing Adventures offers a better experience for kids and families that will get kids excited about fishing and crabbing.  Find out what you might expect to catch with this family fishing experience.  The Sea Dragon has been designed specifically for fishing with kids with lowered rails at kids fishing stations throughout the boat.  Ticket prices are family friendly and each tour lasts an hour and forty-five minutes.
