Hit all of the Pirate Attractions at Walt Disney World – Satisfy your inner pirate!
Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake is closed for the season – what is a little pirate to do? If you are heading to Disney this winter we have you covered. At Pirate Adventures we feel we have lock on what younger kids are looking for when it comes to kids attractions that will thrill without overwhelming a more timid little one. Pirate Adventures is geared for children ages 3-9. Our family friendly pirate attraction is a treasure hunt on the water that keeps the kids excited and involved in an interactive voyage that embraces the quest for adventure side of the pirate spirit. There are quite a few pirate attractions at Walt Disney world and we have broken them down for you so you know what to expect while waiting in line.
Pirate Attractions with Park Admission
Peter Pan
When one thinks of Walt Disney World the Peter Pan ride may be the most classic of rides. Peter Pan and Captain Hook bring out the magic in the Pirate Life every time. Fly high above London with Peter Pan in your very own flying ship and soar over Captain Hook and the Mermaid Lagoon. This is not to be missed and we highly recommend the Fast Pass although the line space for Peter Pan is fun for young kids as Tinkerbell is busy causing mischief in scenes of the Darling’s Nursery.
A Pirate’s Adventure
This is a treasure hunt through Adventureland – mostly around the Pirate’s of the Caribbean ride. Participants pick up a map at a hut located next to Tortuga’s Tavern. The map provides you with five clues that will lead you to the answer to a riddle or the location of where a treasure is buried. This is fun for younger kids as the treasure map is mostly pictures and easy to read. Each clue takes you to a prop with that will give you your next clue. Examples include a giant clam shell that opens up with a pearl, a treasure chest with that reveals a pirate ship inside. The props are hidden in plain valtrex no prescription overnight sight and are exciting to find. This is great because there is no need to wait in a long line and you experience the adventure at your own pace.
Tom Sawyer Island
This is not specifically a pirate themed attraction but we felt it really catered to the younger set that loved the spirit of a Pirate Adventure. You board a raft to be taken to the island that is filled with paved walkways that take you on a whimsical adventure. You encounter a playground, a fort, wobbly bridges and even a mysterious cave. This is a great attraction to let the kids explore at their own pace.
Meet Jake and the Neverland Pirates
Jake hangs out at Hollywood Studios outside the Disney Junior Show at Animation Courtyard. The Disney Junior characters wear oversized masks which may surprise the more serious pirate fans.
Pirates of the Caribbean
This classic Disney ride was updated in 2015 and it was well worth it. The ride now includes Jack Sparrow and starts out a little more intense for the younger set. The boat goes through a misty hologram of Blackbeard at the beginning of the ride. The classic parts of the ride are still there and as an added bonus you can sometimes meet Jack Sparrow while standing in line. Dine with Jake and other Disney Junior Pals at Hollywood and Vine
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made 180 days in advance. The character meals are a great way to avoid long lines at popular characters and kids will feel less pressure.

This cruise leaves from the Contemporary Resort and includes a meet and greet with Captain Hook and Smee, snacks, beverages, sea chanteys and a pirate parade before departing. This a great way to see the fireworks and will delight your little pirate.
