Maryland Day is a weekend long celebration from March 18th through March 20th and is a great way to kick off Spring Break in Annapolis. Discover the history of the Underground Railroad in Maryland with an activity at the Chesapeake Children’s Museum. The Naval Academy is offering special tours focused around the War of 1812 and you can make reef balls to help the oyster population in the Chesapeake Bay at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Brown Bag Lunch Tours at the Hammond Harwood House
The Hammond Harwood House begins its Brown Bag Lunch tours on Tuesday, March 22nd. The tours are a good fit for kids with their short length of 20 minutes. Spring break to many families in Annapolis means the beginning of crab season. Spring break comes a little early this year but the weather towards the middle of the week looks perfect to sit outside pick crabs with the kids.
