We love to spend summer days at the beach swimming and building sandcastles
Luckily there’s lots of fun FREE activities in the DMV area. I love taking my daughter to parks, trails, street festivals, music concerts, you name it!
Watching my family stand-up-paddle board on our beautiful Chesapeake Bay. I’m going to learn to do it too so I can join in on the fun.
My family loves spending time together indoors or out whenever we have the chance! We enjoy hiking through trails at our MD parks, spending time at the beach, walking through our local downtown (Frederick) especially to our favorite candy store. We enjoy bowling and recently my kids enjoyed climbing on the trees in the monkey grove at Adventure Park in Montgomery County. We also enjoyed the pirate adventure a couple of years ago and would love to do it again!
We actually create our own Bucket List for every season. Our summer list includes things such as going to one of our local beaches or Sandy Point State Park, story time at the library on a really hot day, eating crabs and shrimp, camping in the backyard, heading to an O’s game, going on a Pirate Adventure (naturally!), catching fireflies, blowing bubbles, and making popsicles!
We have 3 boys, so anything outside is ideal. We LOVE all of the pick your own/farm to table opportunities in Maryland. So many farms and the bounty is plentiful during the summer! Bonus? Fruit right off the tree is amazing!
Lucky for us that we live in the best state ever! We love the outdoors and love that we can go from hiking sugar loaf mountain to a sunny day building sand castles and catching some waves at the beach. Any and evey chance we get we escape the hustle and bustle and slow down! Our summers are all about long hot sunny days and cool nights catching lightening bugs.
We recently moved all the way from Texas! So this is our first summer here and we plan on doing it all!! We are excited to go to the Pick your own fruit/veggie orchards, hiking, going to the water parks and of course going on a pirate adventure in July!! I can’t wait to take the family to get some yummy fresh crabs too!! LOVE this place 🙂
Fave activities include eating,, biking, the beach and mini golf! OH! and lets not forget the celebration of MadiSuns bday!!!
We love to walk through Annapolis around the Eastport bridge and down through Church and State Circle, along with visiting the WWII memorial. Visiting El Toro’s and the Charthouse are always fun, along with the 1st Sunday art show downtown. Eating crabs, walking the boardwalk in OC, and going to an O’s game are on this year’s To-Do list. And we would love to take our grandson on a Pirate Adventure this summer!
