Where to go with kids in Annapolis this week

February can be a difficult month to find fun things to do with the kids.  With snow days and cold weather keeping the kids inside look to Pirate Adventures to help plan where to go with kids in Annapolis.  We have rounded up the top five things to do with kids in Annapolis this week and we can’t wait to entertain your kids when we open again for our 2016 season!

  1. Take a hike

  2. Discover a new playground: Lake Waterford Park

    Lake Waterford Park PlaygroundStay outdoors while you can and find a new playground.   Lake Waterford in Pasadena offers a large play space with plenty of slides and swings.  Hang around and feed the ducks and geese and take a quick hike around the lake.

  3. Annapolis Restaurant Week

    Where to go with kids in Annapolis - Miss ShirleysDid you know that many of the restaurants also have price fix menus for breakfast and lunch as well as dinner during Restaurant Week?  Expand you kids taste buds and get them excited about food with this special event.   Miss Shirley’s is offering broiled grapefruit brulee and coconut cream stuffed French Toast on the breakfast menu, Lemongrass has fried banana with ice cream on the lunch menu.  Restaurant week runs from February 22nd through February 28th, 2016.  Find a complete list of participating restaurants and complete menu choices here.

  4. Road Trip

    James and the Giant Peach at Glen EchoJames and the Giant Peach opened last week at Glen Echo Adventure Theater and runs through April 5th, 2016.  James and the Giant Peach is getting great reviews and is a hit with kids of all ages.  While you are at Glen Echo check out the new aquarium that opened this fall, we have not been there yet but would love to hear about the pirate ship display!

  5. Go for a swim

    North Arundel Aquatic CenterHit the indoor waterpark at North Arundel Aquatic Center.  Kids will love the idea of running around in bathing suits on a grey day.  The water park includes a slide, splash features and easy entry for the little ones.  Grown ups can soak in the hot tub close by while the little ones play.
