Chocolate Hearts and Abe Lincoln – Celebrate Presidents Day and Valentines Day with the Kids

With an icy cold start to the week and two holidays to celebrate we’ve rounded up some fun events for the kids that can help you celebrate Presidents Day and Valentines Day while staying warm.

  1. Annapolis Main Street Chocolate Tour

    valentines day annapolisCelebrate Valentines Day in Annapolis with the kids with a sampling of the best thing about Valentines Day – chocolate!  Head to main street and indulge in chocolate treats, your kids will be in heaven!  Start at Kilwins with a truffle and wander over to City Dock Coffee for a hot chocolate and finish up at Annapolis Ice Cream Store with a scoop of chocolate chocolate chip, or brownie batter ice cream.  If you are feeling really indulgent introduce your kids to chocolate fondue at The Melting Pot in Parole.

  3. Ballocity – Pip Moyer Recreation Center

    BallocityGet the wiggles out with indoor play at Ballocity at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center.  Kids can shoot foam balls, crawl through tunnels and slide to their heart’s content.  Hours are subject to change so make sure you call first (410) 263-7958.  They also have a climbing wall and open gym time available on certain days.

  4. Take in a Movie

    Kung Fu Panda 3Get out of the cold and take the kids to the movies.  If you have not seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens yet it is still playing at Bowtie Cinemas at the Annapolis Mall.  If your kids are still too young for Star Wars, Kung Foo Panda 3 is also playing.  Check here for current showtimes.

  5. Sleeping Beauty

    Sleeping Beauty AnnapolisIntroduce your kids to ballet with a performance of the fairytale Sleeping Beauty.  Performances take place February 19th through February 21st at Maryland Hall.  The Sunday Matinee includes free admission to a princess tea party before the show.  Check here for available tickets.
